5/41 Wall and Turret to
Grafham Grange

II

Turret and wall. 1854 by Henry Woodyer. Sandstone blocks and rubble with plain
tiled roof on turret. Round turret to right with wall extending to left. Brick
corbelled eaves to tower and conical roof above. Moulded string course to plinth.
Brick band to ground floor and brick edged, chamfered, breathers to first and
ground floors. Stack to right. Eaves corbels alternate with small openings.
Wall to left with pointed gateway to left. Red and blue brick chamfered surround,
brick-on-edge coping over tile offset course. Brick band at impost height of arch
extending as bonding course. Window to rear at junction of turret and walls.
