House, now shop. Late C16, altered and restored C20. Timber frame with
rendered infill, ground floor underbuilt in brick. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys
with attic; 1 x 2 bays, gable-end to road, with 1st and 2nd floors jettied.
Late C20 shop front with plate-glass windows and wood surround. Timber framing
of upper floors has S-curved braces to 1st floor and C20 framing with double V
struts to attic; 3-light C20 leaded casement window to 1st floor, 8-pane top-
hung casement to attic. Right-return: timber framing on 1st floor has large
arched braces to front bay; a 3-light window to each floor on right. Flat-
roofed single-storey extension at rear not of special interest. Interior:
chamfered beams, one spine-beam on the ground floor and the lst-floor joists
cyma-moulded; roof has queen strut trusses and curved wind braces.
