House. C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber-framed and brick;
plain tile roof. One storey with attic; 3 bays with 2 gabled wings added to
rear probably early C20 and a further rear range added probably 1930s. C20 leaded
casement windows, those on ground floor with chamfered brick cills. Right bay
an addition, of brick, with 2-light windows. Left bays: on ground floor of
brick with renewed posts of timber-frame exposed; C20 door with side-lights on
right with narrow window to left and 3-light window further left; on 1st floor,
timber-frame exposed, timbers of small scantling and poor quality comprising mid
rail and wall posts with tension braces to wall plate, panels infilled with
brick; two C20 gabled dormers. Roof half-hipped; stack at left end, of T-shaped
section (one flue added), one between right-hand bays and another at right end.
Rear: additions not of special interest. Interior: ceiling joists to central
ground-floor room; on 1st floor, tie-beams cut and corner posts replaced.
