House. Mid C19, altered late C20. Red brick in Flemish bond, Welsh slate roof. Two storeys, 3 x 1 bays. Symmetrical elevation. The brickwork of the ground floor right-hand bay rebuilt late C20. Two steps up to six-panel door (the four upper panels raised and fielded) with overlight, in panelled reveal. Wooden doorcase having fluted pilasters, bowed frieze to entablature and flat-mullioned cornice. Windows are sashes with glazing bars in reveals with flat brick arches and projecting sills. Oversailing hipped roof with two low stacks at rear. Returns have ground floor windows as front and blind first floor windows.

Interior: straight-flight stair with stick balusters, columnar newels and moulded treads. Ground floor fireplaces have bowed, grooved jambs and roundels at ends of frieze, fireplace in right-hand room of polished stone.

Built as a front extension of the range behind, No 2 Summersby Close (q.v.) which became the service range. The right-hand bay was used as a shop prior to the late C20 alteration.
