Hall house, now extended. C15 with late C18 and C19 extensions to front right. Timber framed on brick and render plinth, whitewashed brick infill above with coursed, galleted ironstone to right in brick dressings. Sandstone rubble to extensions and plain tiled roofs, hipped with a gablet to left. One storey and attic to main house with single storey extensions.

Four framed bays, with tall inserted stack to centre and further stack to right. Tall gabled bays, square, projecting slightly left and right of centre under gables with "V"ogee bracing on first floor to right. One three-light, diamond-pane casement on each floor of each bay, one three-light window on each floor of a gabled bay in the re-entrant angle with the front extensions. Gabled porch to centre with moulded planked door.

Rear: dated hopper 1793 on down pipe. Some ironstone rubble infilling to frame. Pentice to left of centre and two storey brick and rubblestone wing to left end.
