GV II*

House. Circa 1700, extended to left in late C18 and restored and further extended
in C20. Brown and red brick with hipped plain tiled roofs. Two storeys and attics
to original range under two flat roofed dormers; two storeys on extensions, plinth
to base with moulded edge, gauged brick plat band over ground floor and wooden eaves
cornice. 12-pans, glazing-bar sash windows under shallow arched,gauged brick heads,
mostly C19/C2O replacements. Large stacks to right, with 4 diagonal flues on plinth,
to centre - 6 diagonal flues on plinth, and to left - 2 diagonal flues flanking
square panel. Main range of 5 bays, central one breaking forward in shallow
pedimented break. First floor window to centre raised higher than flanking windows.
4 windows on ground floor. Central door of 8 fielded panels in panelled reveal with
attached, Doric column pedimented surround. Sundial in tympanum of pediment.
Two bay addition set back to left with canted end facing west. Single storey extension
set back to right end.
Interior: C18 panelling survives with good C18 staircase.
