House. Mid C17. Timber framed to centre with brick infill, some in herring-
bone pattern over brick ground floor. Ironstone block to right on ground
floor with brick dressings, tile hung above; galleted sandstone block to left
with brick dressings. Plain tiled roofs with tile hung gables in alternating
bands of square and fishscale pattern. Large double L-shaped plan. Two storeys
with corbelled multiple stack to left of centre and end stack to right. Two
gabled bays to left, projecting, with leaded, two-light attic casement window
containing old glass. Tile hanging projecting to base and plat band over ground
floor. Two C20 casements to first floor of left hand gable, one first floor
and two ground floor windows to right hand gable. Two windows on first floor
and one on ground floor of return wall of right gable. Two large C20 casements
to first floor of framed section. One sash window on each floor to right
end with brick dentil band to base of tile hanging. Panelled and part glazed
door to left in re-entrant angle. Blocked window over. Pentice to right end.
Right hand return front - plinth and plat band over the ground floor. Two
windows to each floor. C18 refacing to rear wing with large gable tile hung.
Plat band over ground floor. Two 12-pane glazing bar sash windows under
gauged heads. Central door in C20 pilaster surround and under entablature.
Interior:- substantial framing exposed, square-panel partition walls and
ceiling frames.
