Hall house. Early C16 with C16 and C17 extensions. Timber framed, underbuilt
in brown brick to ground floor left with whitewashed render infill above;
close stud framing with whitewashed render infill to ground floor right, wide
panel framing above. Plain tiled roof to left with hip and gablet. Horsham
slab roof to right over west wing. L-shaped, wing projecting to right. Two
storeys with corbelled rebuilt stack to left and fine C17 offset stack to
right decorated with diamond panels. Gable end of right hand wing with
original scalloped bargeboards and jettied first floor on moulded bressumer
and end brackets. One central leaded window to first floor flanked by single
light windows below. Central planked door on ground floor. Braced crown post
in gable roof. Left hand return front of wing - one window on each floor and
3 framed bays deep. Left hand range - three bays with arch bracing to first
floor left. Two windows on the first floor and two windows below. Double
doors to left with four-centre arched head.
Interior:- Substantial framing exposed. Crown-post hall.
