GV II

Cottage. C16 to left and centre around possible earlier core, with C17 wing to
right, altered in C18 and C19. Timber framed, exposed on left hand return front
with brick infill, iron and puddingstone blocks to ground floor left with brick
dressings on rendered plinth under tile hung first floor. Red and blue brick
return walls, brown brick cladding to centre with tile hung wing to right.
Plain tiled roofs. Half-H shape plan with projecting cross wings. Large
multiple stack to left of centre on rear pitch under corbelled top, smaller
stack to right hand return front. Two storeys with plat band over ground floor.
Diagonal brick dentils to eaves and tile hanging swept out over ground floor.
One 3-light casement window to left of centre on rear range, one window on each
floor to front, that below under segmental head. One 3-light window on each
floor of the left hand gable end. One 3-light first floor window and one 4-
light ground floor window on the right hand wing. C20 panelled door to right of
centre on the rear range. Stable style door to left hand return wall of the
right hand wing under a pentice hood.
