House. C16, refronted in C17. Bargate stone blocks with brick dressings and
angle quoins and with some galleting, plain tiled roofs. Two storeys and
attics under two gabled dormers to right and left of centre over basement
storey to right, house built into hillside. Old entrance front to rear.
Corbelled multiple stack to right of centre, further stacks to rear. Moulded
brick band to top of plinth, plat bands over ground and first floors. Three
diamond-pane, cambered-head first floor windows, the outer ones three-light,
the centre one four-light. Similar windows on ground floor. Hip-roofed glazed
single storey wing projecting at right angles to front left with glazed doors in
return wall. Flat-roofed two-storey extension to left end. Right hand return
front - tile hung gable end partly in fishscale pattern. One window on each floor
including attic, two basement windows. Gabled and tile hung wing to rear -
possibly a stair-vice. Pentice across the rear with two large gabled dormers
to rear and central porch.
