GV II*

Large building of irregular plan, roughly the shape of three sides of a courtyard
with ground infilling on the south side and a projection to the north east. C16
timber framed building with plaster infilling, the ground floor rebuilt in red
brick. South east gable end tile-hung. First floor of north east wing weather-
boarded. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Gabled red brick porch. The east wall
leans outwards and its first floor beam runs downhill to the south. Originally
an Inn. Later called Philips Building or the Rabbit Warren.
