One range. Probably a C17 or earlier timber-framed building, refaced in the C18
with painted brick on ground floor and tile-hung above, now partly painted also.
"Villiers" wholly painted brick and probably a later addition. Tiled roof. Modern
shop windows on ground floor. Sash windows above, some with glazing bars. Two
storeys and attic. Five windows. Three gabled dormers. Chateaubriand contains
timber-framed elements of an aisled medieval open hall house.
