Base of Town Mill

II

Base of tower mill. C19, (the town mill moved from Pipe Passage to this site
at the foot of Race Hill in 1835). Painted brick with tiled roof. Tall
battered octagon with octagonal roof. Broken cast-iron brackets remain at
eaves showing level of walkway around mill at that height. Two segment-headed
openings on west side. C20 garage door on ground floor to east.
