House. Early - mid-C18, (dated 1735 on rainwater head). Red and brown
brick with coped parapet to plain tiled roof, hipped with two segment-headed
dormers. 2 storeys, attic and basement; 5 window front, sashes without
glazing bars in wide moulded frames. Central entrance with later C18
columned surround. Individualistic Corinthian columns with entablature
blocks supporting open segmental pediment. Arched entrance with panelled
reveals and panelled door up 7 steps with arched overlight. Moulded iron
bootscraper below lowest step. Segment-headed windows to basement.
Area to either side of front door with spearhead railings and vasehead
standards. Interior: Board room with mid-C18 fielded panelling, dado rail
and later C18 fire-surround. Early C18 2-flight staircase.
