Crescent. Circa 1835-45, perhaps by George Barman. Yellow brick
with stuccoed horizontally-rusticated ground-floor and stuccoed
second floor cill-band, Doric giant pilasters over ground floor,
moulded parapet and moulded window surrounds. Parapet hiding roof
with eleven sets of ridge stacks. Curved crescent plan with end
projections, (Nos 3 & 12), and double central projection, (Nos 7 & 8),
carrying parapet partially pierced withbalustrades and surmounted by acroteria
at both ends and doubled brackets in centre. 3 storeys and basement;
20 window front, paired, with pilasters flanking projections and single
pilaster in centre of central projection. 10 doorways, mostly round-
headed, paired in centre, to the left of each house on the right, to the
right of each house on the left. Spearhead railings flanking each door-
way and surrounding areas.
