Former brewery and house, now house. C17 with later C17, C18, C19 and
C20 alterations. Lefthand section: coursed and uncoursed flint, rebuilt in
red brick in centre with C20 lefthand return front of red brick on ground
floor with tilehanging above. Plain tiled roof with tall C17 stack of
red brick towards left end of ridge and C19 ridge stack at right end of ridge.
Single central large gabled dormer with paired sashes without glazing bars.
Single storey with attic and basement. C2O 3-light casement in head of
red brick central section with basement light below and 2-light casement
with brick dressed segment-head to left. 2-light window with moulded
stone surround in attic of lefthand return front. Righthand section:
Timber-framed with painted brick ground floor and tile-hung first floor.
Plain tiled roofwith tall brick stack behind ridge at right end.
Gabled cross-wing, slightly lower than main ridge, at left end. L-
shaped plan, with shallow projecting crosswing to left. 2 storeys;
2 window front, plain 3-light casements, with part-glazed boarded door
between and flat hood over. Blank end to crosswing. Interior:
not inspected but reported to contain C17 panelling and an early C17
staircase.
