No 43 (The Croft) & railings
House. C16, refronted in early C19. Timber-framed with front of stucco,
rusticated on ground floor with band and projecting cornice with acanthus
decoration to coped parapet. Horsham slab roof with end stacks. 2 storeys
and basement; regular 3 window front, tripartite caches in outer bays,
single glazing bar sash over central entrance. Panelled door with upper
panels glazed and fanlight in recessed surround with part panelled reveals
and moulded surround with key- and impost-blocks. Cat-iron arrow-head
railings surrounding areas to south with vase-head standards.
