Circa 1840. Stuccoed house with parapet and cornice, tall and narrow. 3 storeys
and basement. 2 windows wide. On right full-height canted bay with sashes, on
left 2nd floor sash, 1st floor French window to balcony which runs across width
of house with ornate cast iron railings. Cill band to 2nd floor. All sashes without
glazing bars. Ground floor left fielded-panel door and rectangular fanlight.
Plaque on front "Mark Rutherford, the writer, lived here for many years".

Nos 3 to 18 (consec) including Windycroft form a group of which Nos 4, 5, 15, 16,
17 and 18 are of local interest only.
