Circa 1860. By Decimus Burton. 6 semi-detached villas with a private road and
garden in front. Coursed stone with rusticated quoins. 2 storeys and basement.
1:2:1 windows. Centre 2 bays pedimented with attic window in pediment. Either
side one window projects with parapet and cornice. Sashes with glazing bars.
Ground floor centre 2 wooden canted bay windows of sashes. Low-pitched slate roofs.
Rendered chimneys with cornices. Nos 1 and 2 have rusticated stone window surrounds
and later C19 south-east wing set back. Nos 3, 4, 5 and 6 have moulded stucco
window architraves, 1st floor centre and flanking ground floor windows with cornices,
small Venetian attic window in tympanum of pediment. Rusticated basements. No
6 has later C19 corner porch and set back on right a long one storey wing with
stuccoed entablature.

The Uplands Nos 1 to 6 (consec)] form a group.
