Circa 1830. At one time occupied by James Burton and therefore part of his original
lay-out of St Leonards and designed by Decimus Burton. The best front looks east
over the original Subscription Gardens, now St Leonards Gardens. 2 storeys. 4
windows. Stuccoed. The right hand north window bay projects with a gable over
having scalloped bargeboards and a 6-light canted bay window on both floors with
castellated (castellation missing) parapet over. The remainder of the front has
a wide eaves casement windows and a verandah (partly missing) on the ground floor.
The south front also has a verandah. Slate roof. North elevation: 2 storeys and
2 storeys and attic, 5 windows wide, 3 small attic gables and eaves with scalloped
bargeboards, dripmoulds over windows.
