On the road to the north-west of the house and to the north of the present
carriage-drive is a pair of wrought iron crested gates set in red brick
gate-piers surmounted by ball caps. These are flanked by a red brick wall
containing elliptical pedestrian archways with similar small gate-piers
on their outer sides, beyond which is a curved wall leading to similar dwarf
piers. This entrance is probably C18-C19.
