Hassalls and The
Old House
TQ 51 NW 6/809


One building, now divided. L-shaped C17 or earlier building, altered and
enlarged in the C18. The oldest visible portion is in Hassalls to the east,
which is faced with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above and
has casement windows. The south front has been wholly refaced in the C18.
Painted brick. Sash windows with glazing bars intact. Tiled roof to the
whole. Two storeys. Seven windows. Modern porch to east front. West front,
which is wholly red brick, has a modern Georgian doorway.
