5208 Rosemount Farm Barn
(now part of Nash
TQ 51 SE Street Farm)
Barn and outbuildings, all c.1800. Timber frame weather boarded on brick plinth with
half-hipped tile roof. Economical 3-bay structure in well-sawn timber. Wall panels and
roof planes are all diagonally braced, the latter with long passing braces. Gunstock
jowls to posts, arch braces to tie beams. The south-east bay is divided off as a stable,
with a transverse rail and more diagonal bracing. On the axis at the north-west end, and
perpendicular at the south east end are two lower tiled outbuildings in Flemish bond
brickwork, partly obscured by later outshuts. These form an attractive ensemble with the
