Windelsham Manor
TQ 52 NW 20/196
Listed for historical reasons as the home from 1907 till 1930 of
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The later Sherlock Holmes stories were written
here; also "The Lost World".
L-shaped house of about 1900. Two storeys. Five windows and 5 cables
to each wing. Ground floor faced with roughcast, above with wooden shingles.
Tiled roof. Casement window.
