Fletching Lodge and
TQ 4223 41/742 26.11.53 Gateway, Sheffield Park
The original portion was designed by James Wyatt about 1775. Low octagonal
tower of 3 storeys with staircase turret to the south. Stone. Castellated
parapet. Two casement windows on each floor. Later addition of 2 storeys
and one window to south. Adjoining the Lodge on the north is a contemporary
archway over the carriage drive and a pedestrian archway beyond with a
castellated wall over.
