FRAMFIELD THE STREET

Originally called The Hawthorns. T-shaped C15 timber-framed building with
plaster infilling, the first floor close-studded, the ground floor rebuilt
in red brick, with a moulded bressummer between. Small oriel window projecting
on brackets on first floor with diamond-shaped panes. Gable oversailing
on curved brackets and moulded bressummer. Small blocked window. Tiled
roof. Casement windows. At the east end is a tower of 3 storeys added in C19.
West front refaced with painted brick.
