Comments
My ancestors Alexander and Eliza NORTH are shown on the 1841 census as living in the Walnut Tree House. I was on holiday with my family from New Zealand.
We called in at Mayfield on the 30th August 1910 (Bank holiday weekend) to have a look at the house. From the outside it looked to be a fine building.
We would have liked to see what it was like inside and what it is used for now.
