GV II

Garden feature. Probably 1897 by Francis Inigo Thomas for Lindsay Lindsay-
Hogg. Stone; statue probably composite stone. Shallow rectangular pool with
circle at centre and central statue of Aphrodite holding drape. Part of the
garden setting for Rotherfield Hall (qv), the garden being listed Grade II* in
the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Interest. Included for
group value.
