Cricket pavilion on south side of cricket ground at TQ 5615 3585

Cricket pavilion. Dated 1890. Timber framed with diagonal board
cladding; roof of banded dark red and bright red tiles with crested
and finialled terracotta ridges. Single storey, 3 bays, central bays
gabled and that on south side breaking forward. South side: central
bay has replacement central door flanked by single-light windows, that
on left triangular-headed, that on right replacement; wavy,
decoratively-pierced, bargeboards, a door to each outer bay and small
window to left bay. North side: steps up to central double door with
diagonal boarding; bracketed projecting gable with tie-beam, arched-
braces to purlins, and barge-boards as before. Either side are 3 panels
with vertically-sliding shutters and cusping below heads. Returns each
have a window of 2 pointed -arched lights, and bargeboards as before.
