the following building shall be added to the list;

7/10000 Number 16 (White Tower)
House. 1898 by Architect John Cyril Hawes as a seaside house for
himself and his brothers. It was built in the form of a tower to
overlook the original Rock Gardens and for a sea view. Stuccoed with
incised lines to imitate masonry and tiled roof. Tower of 4 storeys,
battered to base with 1 triple casement window with leaded lights to
each floor. Set back to right hand corner is a narrow staircase tower
with gabled tiled roof and slit windows with leaded lights. Doorcase
has flat wooden hood supported by 2 grotesque brackets. 2 storey range
to rear providing kitchen on ground floor and sitting room on first
floor with casement windows. Contemporary wood and glazed lean-to
conservatory on left hand side. Interior contains hall with dado
panelling and round-headed arches and built in wooden cupboards to
sitting room. Dog leg staircase which becomes progressively narrower
as it reaches the top. Series of 2 panelled doors and built in sliding
