Pair of C18 houses. 3 storeys. Tiled roof with hip at western end. Small
cornice with modillions below eaves. Red brick. 3 window bays. Sash windows
with flush boxes in flat arches with glazing bars intact on 2nd floor; 2
3 light bow windows on 1st floor with 1 sash window (with rubbed brick
voussoir) in centre. Fine early to mid-cl9 shop fronts; fascia boards with
moulded cornices over; dentilled cornice to No 71. Square bays with panelled
stall risers: Pilasters flanking doors and windows to No 71; panelled doors
in reveals except westernmost door of No 72.
