C19 front to an older building, converted in 1891 for use as the
Chichester Post Office. Much higher frontage than Nos 51 and 51A.
Painted brick. Band above 2nd floor windows surmounted by large
projecting cornice with modillions and blocking course. Slate saddle-
back roof behind. 4 window bays. Sash windows (with horns) in reveals
in chamfered segmental arches; glazing bars intact window sills with
ugs. Ground floor occupied by shop windows and doorway; large plate-
glass panels flanked by pilasters with frieze and cornice over (once in
the Post Office). Some C18 panelling in 1st floor rooms.
