The entry shall be amended to read;


12/608 Knapp Farm


Formerly farmhouse at one time subdivided into cottages & derelict at
time of survey. Late C16 lobby entrance farmhouse refaced & extended
in C18 and in early C19. Central 2 bays are the original building
which is timber framed but clad in brick in Sussex bond, the right
hand bay is an C18 addition in random bond and the left side bay has
a base of Sussex bond and the upper part is of flemish diaper bond.
3 bays are thatched with off central late C16 brick chimney stack the
upper part replaced in early C19 left hand part was tiled but tiles
missing at time of survey. 2 storeys 3 windows. Mainly 3 light
casements with wooden surrounds, cambered to ground floor. 2 cambered
doorcases. Part cement plinth. Catslide roof to rear centre and early
C19 extension to rear of right hand bay. Interior has lobby entrance
and right side ground floor room has spine beam with central 3 inch
chamfer and lambs tongue stop. Massive chimney bressumer also with
lambs tongue stops but with later smaller cambered opening inserted
C18 wooden winder staircase. Extreme right side room has spine beam
with 2 inch chamfer and exposed wall frame. Room to left of lobby
entrance has similar 3 inch chamfer to spine beam and wide chimney
bressumer. Left side room is entirely C18 with a wooden winder
staircase. First floor has exposed wall frame with diagonal walls and
above the lath and plaster ceiling is an angled queen strut roof with
through purlins and pegged rafters.

C18. Two storeys. Original portion three windows. Red brick and grey
headers. Thatched roof. Casement windows. Later addition of one window bay
with tiled roof to the west.
