Built about 1850, altered and enlarged by Norman Shaw in 1877. Gothic style
now partly demolished. Two storeys and attic. Three windows and two dormers
to the main portion. Faced with flints with stone dressings and quoins.
Slate roof. Casement windows with stone mullions and transoms. Garden front
has central gabled projection with attic window. To the west is a section
of one storey with large projecting hexagonal bay with polygonal roof. The
entrance front has a porch with segmental arch, a shallow oriel above this
with canted sides and flat roof and a gable to the right of this with chimney
stack. Interior altered by Ernest George 1898-1900.
