the description should be amended to read:-

House, possibly once the village schoolmaster's house. Mid C.19. Knapped flints
with stone dressings and quoins, slate roof. In an Elizabethan style in the plan
of hall with two crosswings, the one to the left the school room, the house on the
right. Two gabled front. On the left a large 2 light window with hollow moulded
mullion and transom and arched heads to upper lights. To the right a 4-light plain
hollow chamfered window, timber oriel above. Side elevations with 2 and 3 light
similar. Porch to left. Tall stone stack, brick ridge stack.

the description should be amended to read:-

House and office. House and office once agent's house and estate office. Dated 1905
possibly by George & Peto who were working at West Dean park at the time. Knapped
flints with stone dressings and quoins, slate roof. In an lizabethan style in a plan
of hall with two cross wings, the one to the left the office, the house on the right.
Two gabled front. On the left a large 2-light window with hollow moulded mullion and
transom and arched heads to upper lights. To the right a 4-light plain hollow
chamfered window, timber oriel above. Side elevations with 2 and 3 lights similar.
Porch to left. Tall stone stack. Brick ridge stack. Dated in office gable W.J.
(for William James) 1905.

Mid C19 building, probably the village school and schoolmaster's house
originally. L-shaped building of which the south wing was the school and the
east wing the house. The south wing had originally one storey, the east-wing
two storeys. Two windows. Faced with knapped flints with stone dressings
and quoins. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Gable end to south wing. South
gable to east wing.
