29/4 The Parish Church of
18.6.59 St Mary
Parish church. C12, C14 and 1860. Rubble and flint, partly cemented, tiled roof.
Chancel with vestry to the north, nave with aisles, south porch and west tower.
Chancel and nave C12. C14 south aisle with pentice roof and tower, now faced with
roughcast. North aisle and vestry added in 1860. On the splay of a Norman window
in the nave is a C13 wall painting. Arcades with octagonal piers. Tub font.
