17.2.84 North Marden Gateway
to Up Park
II
Late C18. A high arch of brick with stone key block and imposts. The arch is
pedimented with brick cornice below. Slate roof. Below arch is a double iron
gate with spear pattern above and at bottom, with a border of circles and squares
below. Similar smaller gate at side. To the east is a small contemporary red
brick lodge building of one storey and one window. There was originally a similar
building to the west, but this has been incorporated in a larger C19 red brick
building of two storeys and three windows (not listed).
