Nos 40 and 42

One building. Early C19. Three storeys. Three windows. Stuccoed. Ionic pilasters
flank each window-bay. Eaves cornice. Slate roof. Sash windows of 36 panes each,
most of them retaining their glazing bars. Continuous iron balcony on first floor.
Carriage archway with segmental head through centre of ground floor. Modern shop
front on each side of this.
