4/68 Nos 1 and 2 Pear Tree
Pair of estate cottages. Late C19 in Tudor style. 2 storeys, T-shaped. Ground
floor timber-framed with brick infill (some herringbone). First floor timber-framed
with plaster infill. Close studding with curved braces. Tiled roof with central
clustered brick chimney stack. Bressummer. 2 central projecting gables with
elaborate fretted barge-boards with pendants. 2 windows each. Plain 2-light
windows to ends, 4 bay oriels to centre, ground floor mullioned and transomed
windows. End arched doorcases with plank doors having strapwork panels above.
