Oven. Possibly C17. large sandstone rubble with quoins. 1 storey 1 bay. Square.
Chamfered flat Tudor-arched head and alternate-block jambs to low entrance in west
elevation. Left return has square opening with wood lintel; rear has high small
square opening. Interior: round with stone domed roof; one-metre deep entrance
passage has flue-like recess at right; rear blocked opening at ground level with
fluted cast iron pipe in chamfered stone surround. Tall wall attached, running
northward from north-east corner, courses through from oven and has rounded top
of courses of small stones. Listed for group value with the Garth.
