House; now art gallery, dental surgery and one residence. Early C19 incorporating
late C18 house. Moulded painted ashlar plinth; brick with ashlar dressings; Welsh
slate roof with flat stone gable copings and 2 end brick chimneys, that at right
ashlar-corniced. Basement, 2 storeys and 5 windows. Central 9-panelled door and
overlight, recessed in architrave. 9-panelled door in basement fourth bay. Painted
wedge stone lintels to sash windows with glazing bars; ground-floor projecting
sills; first floor sill band. Eaves gutter board. Rear wing shows ground-floor lintels
with false keystones and central porch with later upper storey. Interior: Gothic-
style glazing around inner entrance door. Tall square-headed landing door, with
blocked overlight, formerly giving access to roof of porch. Walls with painted
stone coping running forward from ends of house; straight section then ramped
down to square piers with cornices and low pyramidal tops.
