and steps to terrace
south of Axwell Park.

Wall, balustrade, piers and steps to terrace of Axwell Park. Early C19,
Retaining wall to terrace and central steps: graduated courses of
rusticated sandstone with moulded ashlar coping; 6 piers to each side of
terrace rest on retaining wall pilasters and are linked by low curved
stone coping; similar piers and balustrade to wall in front of steps.
Piers in front of steps have tall finials of Clavering arms and lions.
Terrace wall piers bear wide classical urns. Some urns missing.
