21/616 and 24/616 Railway viaduct between
Dean Street and Pilgrim


Railway viaduct. 1849 for Newcastle, York and Berwick Railway Co. and c.1894 for
North Eastern Railway Co. Sandstone ashlar. 6 arches. North elevation has
rock-faced masonry with voussoirs; band at rail bed level; flat coped parapet.
South elevation has voussoirs; vermiculate band above three west arches; band at
rail bed-level; flat-coped parapet.
