House, now diocesan offices. 1880 by A. Gibson. English bond brick and
rendered eaves coving with roof of plain tiles. Queen Anne-style. 2 storeys, 3
wide bays the outer ones projecting. 3 steps to central double door under deep
shell hood flanked by keyed segmental-headed sashes; tripartite window flanked
by narrow sashes above. Left bay has blank ground floor, paired blind first floor
windows; right bay has paired sashes with aprons on both floors, the lower with
keyed segmental heads. First floor openings have flat brick arches. First floor
sill band and string. Coved eaves with dentilled cornice. Hipped roof, with lower
hips over projecting bays; gabled dormer in each outer bay and 2 hipped dormers in
centre. 4 tall, wide panelled chimneys with deep cornices, those in front with
keyed arches. Dwarf walls with chamfered stone coping flank steps to door.
