Flax mill. 1848 by John Dobson for Messrs. Plummer and Cooke. Sandstone ashlar,
later attic storey; Welsh slate roof. Elevation to river: 4 storeys and
attic, 12 bays and left entrance bay. High round-arched river entrance, with
impost bands, now bricked up. Flanking narrow windows; paired sashes above on
each floor. Main block has ground-floor windows recessed under cambered arches;
cambered arches to upper floor windows, all fixed lights with iron bars. First
floor band; large dentils to wide eaves cornice; blocking course. Brick addition
has some windows blocked. Hipped roof.
