GV II
Library, now university club. 1926 by A. Dunbar Smith. English bond brick with
diaper work; ashlar dressings; roof of plain tiles. Basement and one high storey;
3 bays, the outer ones projecting, and set-back right entrance bay. Square-headed
double door in architrave. 7-light stone mullioned-and-transomed canted bay
windows in wide bays. Floor and eaves strings. Moulded coping to parapet. Hipped
roof has central ventilator with ogee octagonal dome and ball finial.
