5/6 Kingley, barn 32 metres north-
east of house

Two barns, now one. C17 four-bay and C18 three-bay barns with later C18 bay
joining them. Timber frame with brick infill, mostly C20, to 3 bays, 5th bay
of early C19 brick, addition on left of weatherboard; lias plinth. Old tile
roof, rear of concrete tile. L-plan. Central doors, single door to addition
double doors to outshut. 6 small 1st floor openings. Left return side: 1st
bay has late C19 brick addition projecting far forward. Central doors.
Weatherboard outshut with catslide roof across 3rd bay and addition. Addition
has half-hipped gable. Interior: 2 square-framed roof trusses, formerly
gables: one retains lath and plaster, the other some laths only. Aisle posts,
and floor inserted, in 5-bay section. Queen strut and collar roofs.
