Farmhouse, now motel. C17 with late C18 range to road (VCH), and late C20
additions and alterations. Timber framed with lath and plaster infill,
underbuilt with lias rubble. Concrete tile roof. Front range red brick with
moulded stucco cornice. Slate roof; brick stacks throughout. Complex plan. Front
range 2 storeys; 3-window range. Slightly projecting centre with pediment has
6-panelled door with fanlight and panelled intrados. Wood doorcase with baseless
unfluted Doric half-columns, dosserets with triglyphs and broken pediment.
16-pane sashes with gauged brick flat arches; narrower window in centre. Timber
framed range to rear is visible only on right return side. Jowled post on right.
C20 casements. Interior: Some exposed timber framing. Broad stepped
stop-chamfered ceiling beam. Ceiling beam with roll mouldings. Late C18/early
C19 straight flight staircase.
