Includes Nos.1 and 3 Malt Mill Lane (West side). House. c.1500 (VCH); C19 additions to rear; altered and repaired c.1972-1975. Timber framed; close studding, No.12 on right has middle rail, with lath and plaster and whitewashed brick infill. Ground floor of No.12 and small central section rebuilt in whitewashed brick. Tile roof; brick lateral stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. Late C20 glazed doors and shop fronts. No.11 built out with lean-to roof. Archway to open passage. First floor has C19 and C20 casements. No.11 has dragon beam, heavy corner post and massive bressumer. Original gable and bargeboards (VCH) with sunk trefoiled arches and blank
shields, and pendant. No.12 has later C16 gable and bargeboards (VCH) with diaper pattern, and window of 5 leaded lights. Jettied front to Malt Mill Lane of 10 bays, with simple moulded posts and brackets. On ground floor 2 bays on right rebuilt in brick. Third bay is open passageway. Irregular fenestration, mostly late C20. Brick internal stack. Rear has exposed framing, but not jettied. C19 brick wing. Interior: Much exposed framing and massive ceiling beams. First floor room of No.11 has early C17 (VCH) plaster ceiling with enriched ribs and frieze, lozenges, and floral ornament. (V.C.H.: Warwickshire, Vol.III, p.9-10; Buildings of England; Warwickshire,
