House. C17, with mid C18 alterations and mid C19 additions and alterations.
Timber framed; facade plastered. Wood modillion cornice. Tile roof; truncated
C17 brick internal stack with pilaster strip. L-plan extended to 2-unit double
depth, with through passage. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Entrance, placed
off-centre, has C19 half-glazed door with 2 four-centred lights in mid C18
moulded wood doorcase with simple consoles and broken pediment. Late C19/early
C20 canted bays with 4-pane sashes and late C20 brickwork to ground floor; first
floor has 4-pane sashes with margin bars and moulded frames. To rear timber
framed gable on left has large mid C19 polygonal bay on ground floor. Mid C19
whitewashed brick gabled addition on right. Interior: Exposed framing, ceiling
beams, (boxed in on ground floor), with broad chamfers on first floor. Room on
left with inglenook. Room on right has 2 mid C18 built-in cupboards. First floor
room above has similar larger cupboard and mid C18 wood chimney piece with fret
decoration. Mid C18 straight flight staircase with turned balusters. 6-panelled
doors. Attic stairs door has old butterfly hinges; adjacent cupboard has
another, and one H-hinge.
